The Karachi Port handled 132,584 tonnes of cargo including 105,941 tonnes import and 26,643 tonnes export cargo including 4,094 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 78,648 tonnes dry cargo including 66,892 tonnes general cargo; 3,569 tonnes sugar; 6,636 tonnes fertiliser; 1,551 tonnes rice and 53,936 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.

Four ships namely Hyundai Highway, YM Sun, Iron Butterfly and Challenge Express sailed out to sea during the report period.

Six vessels viz Adhidaya, Golden Express, YM Sun, Canmar Success, Iron Butterfly and Lalazar are currently at the berths.

Two ships namely Golden Express and Canmar Success expected to sail on Friday, while six vessels viz Adhidaya, Lalazar, Kota Teraju, Global Tianjin, Sinar Bontang and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Saturday.

Five vessels viz Kota Mesra, Sagamore, MT Swat, Chem Leo and MMM Kingston due to arrive on Friday, while six ships namely Maersk Alaska, Bunga Delima, Kota Merdesa, Sagamore, Evropl and Hajer are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 86,293 tonnes comprising 73,067 tonnes import and 13,226 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,421 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 49,889 tonnes diesel oil; 2,561 tonnes edible oil; 8,423 tonnes wheat and 24,157 tonnes containerised cargo.

Two ships namely CV Cma Cgm Kingston and MT Bum Mi sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while four vessels viz CV Dubai, Msc Dymphna, Amanat and Al Maqwa are expected to sail on Friday.

A total of three vessels viz Saudi Hofuf, Gemini and Tian Da are currently at the outer anchorage.

Three ships namely Saudi Hofuf, Gemini and Ville de Mars due to take berths on Friday.

Chemicals carrier MT Al Marwah due to arrive on Friday, while another container ship P&O Ned Los Angeles is due to arrive on Saturday.
